TRAFFIC LIGHT WORK STANDARDS
RMS Prequalification
Traffic Signal Contractors must be prequalified by the Roads and Maritime Services of NSW to be permitted to install traffic lights on public roads in NSW.
Prequalification involves financial assessment, quality, OH&S & Environmental assessment by RMS, and independent Australian Standard Certification.

Quality Standards
TASK Engineering holds the quality of its works in the highest regard. We have been formally assessed and accredited to the Australian Standards for Quality Systems and Procedures AS 9001:2001. We have a fully developed Integrated Management System Manual with Project Quality and Records Management Plans.
Our inspection and Test Plan is derived by the Roads and Traffic Authority's Specification for traffic signals work (SI/TCS/8) and we have regular inspection and hold points to ensure the quality of works is maintained throughout the installation.
Our system has been independently certified by GlobalMark Pty Ltd and they maintain a schedule of audits to ensure our continuing compliance.

Safety Standards
TASK Engineering is dedicated to providing its workers with a safe and productive working environment. To that end, we have taken it upon ourselves to be independently assessed to the Australian Standard for Occupational Health and Safety AS 4801:2001.
Our Safe Work Methods Statements and Site Safety Plans are fully developed, and we encourage our employees to contribute and take OH&S seriously, as well as responsibly.
Our OH&S system has also been independently certified by GlobalMark Pty Ltd and they maintain a schedule of audits to ensure our continuing compliance.

Environmental Standards
TASK Engineering is committed to Environmental Protection whilst completing works. We admit, our job is a little easier than most construction companys', as our work contracts are one of the final steps in urban infrastructure development, but that does not mean we do not take it seriously.
Our Environmental System is designed to meet the RTA specification G35 for protection of the natural and urban environment whilst completing our works.
